This November 9th and 10th in Lima Peru, we participated in the 7th Congress of Financial Innovation in the Digital Era, organized by the magazines Gama Mas and Mas Finanzas. The event was attended by important personalities of the Peruvian financial ecosystem, such as Alejandro Medina, Deputy Superintendent of Risks of the Superintendency of Banks and Insurance (SBS) and Martin Naranjo, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Banks (ASBANC), who along with other great speakers from Peru, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, USA, Spain, Mexico and Chile reviewed all relevant issues for the sector.
On behalf of Evolution Labs, our CEO Mario Ernst, participated in the panel «Impact of Innovation and Digitalization in the financial sector» along with Claudia Ganoza from RIMAC Seguros and Yuri Dolorier from Financiera Confianza (BBVA). The panel was led by John Sarmiento, Manager of the Federation of Municipal Savings Banks (FEPCMAC), who inquired about the best practices that Evolution Labs has to promote open innovation and the barriers we are seeing in the region to accelerate the impact of innovation in financial institutions.
Additionally, Mario gave a closing conference called «The Future of Banking in a World of Digital Disruption», where he explained how financial organizations can monetize and move towards cutting-edge digital business models, under the umbrella of «#OpenFinance» and leveraging the #Sandbox technology for #Fintechs provided by Evolution Labs.
It was undoubtedly an event with a high level of attendance in the region, as it was presented to more than 200 people in 2 formats: live in person and remote via streaming.
