As of December 2023 we formally share with FinteChile the purpose and vision for financial services in Chile and Latin America. I firmly believe that we are in the presence of a change never seen before in this industry, where collaboration, synergies and innovation will transform the way people and businesses use financial services. Our vocation at EvolutionLabsUK naturally seeks to join up dots that could not be joined before or to do it in a different way, designing new digital business models. FinteChile and the network of partners is a very powerful space for this, where we want to contribute with experience, ideas and enthusiasm.
In this alliance, like Angel Funds and Startups, the key is the fit between people, visions and the desire to be protagonists of change. I think this step is good for everyone, I personally support the diversity of points of view. I have been part of Boards of Directors and Mentor of different Startups, in addition to more than 20 years as a Manager in the Corporate Finance Industry. The contribution from the most diverse points of view only adds up when there is a shared vision and a desire to make things happen. I believe that having aligned the main things, what follows with FinteChile will flow very well and will lead to good advances that will ultimately result in better services.
The challenge we have at Evolution Labs UK is to contribute to the ecosystem, looking for available elements to create things differently or in a different way. In addition, we are already part of similar partnerships in the UK and the US, so we know that the possibilities are endless.
I stress the importance of permanent collaboration, it is key to maintain a constant and fluid connection looking to deliver what one knows or has. The results will come sooner or later, the important thing is to persevere in doing things together and see what comes out of it. I imagine musicians trying to compose together, a lot of rehearsal, melodies that don’t come together and suddenly something interesting emerges, as Octavio Paz wrote and Cerati rephrased, there is a rhyme that sleeps in all the words.
As for the current scenario, it is impressive what FinteChile has achieved so far, I know that there is a lot of energy and professionalism behind it. It seems to me that the network that is associated is very powerful and can continue to grow, not only from companies whose business is linked to the financial field, but also from different places that can contribute or improve their services with some monetary component, almost everything we do has a transactional edge, many companies have already understood that and are changing their mindset first and then taking decisive steps to be attentive to possible points of union. If I had to estimate a percentage, I would say that there is tremendous value in what has been achieved and I also think it is small in terms of the broader, democratised and decentralised view of financial services, so there is tremendous opportunity to expand. I see a natural buzz over the next few years of new ideas, new players and services based on the constant quest to solve differently, something of a growth mindset for the industry, and we at Evolution Labs UK are passionate about being part of this.
